What Would My Mentor Say...?

Have you ever found yourself in a situation of talking to a potential customer or business partner and just WORD VOMIT all over them to the point they are not even remotely interested anymore???

I think 100% of you reading this would say "YES!!"

Don't worry, I have been there too. I learned a very cool little trick that ANYONE can do...just takes a little practice!

Which Will You Choose? (you can't have both)

This may just be the most POWERFUL message you have ever read and choice you will ever make. It may be something you have thought about, or pondered, but never made the decision. I would agree that it may be the very thing that is holding you back from allowing you to accomplish the hopes and dreams you have always had.

In my eyes, we can live in two ways. In complete control, or in utter faith. Here are the definitions...


Faith- complete trust or confidence in someone or something

Control- determine the behavior or supervise the running 

of; power or authority to guide or manage

" You can have faith, or you can have control....but you can't have both."

I admit, I was living my life wanting to be in complete control. Control of all areas of my life: Financial, Emotional, Physical, Spiritual.

About a year ago, I understood that if I relinquished that control, and rather, lived in FAITH, I could accomplish anything I put my mind to! Today, I challenge you to do the same. I challenge you to make a decision. I boldly challenge you to live your life in faith!

Never Give Up!

The one thing I have learned over the last 6 years in the Home-Based Business arena, is that I have a choice. I have a choice whether to succeed, or to fail. I have a choice to keep going or to throw in the towel....

I promised myself to NEVER give up no matter what the circumstance, no matter how hard it was, what sacrifice I had to make or how heavy the criticism from others may have been....I wasn't giving up!

I want to encourage those who are reading this post to vow to the same! If it takes a month, a year, or even ten years to achieve your goals and dreams, would it be worth it?

What 3 Things Should I Look for in a Good Network Marketing Opportunity?

After being in the industry for 6 years, I am seeing many companies that DO NOT have all 3 of the components listed below. I believe in doing your own due diligence, and also finding something you are passionate about before joining a home-based business. 

So what are the 3 things to look for?

1.) Company

-I believe you must do your own homework and due diligence on the company you are joining before jumping all in. Look for a company that is well-funded, has a solid corporate staff that is experienced, is paying commissions in a timely manner and has a solid vision for the future. Do they have a product/service that is needed in the marketplace and priced to sell?  Are there commissions being paid on time? Do they have a support system to help the seasoned veteran as well as the brand new marketer?

2.) People

-What type of people are being attracted to this opportunity? Are they the type of people you would welcome in your home? They are the backbone of the company in heralding the message of the companies product or service. You want to be sure you are associated with the right crowd, feel comfortable, and can work well together going forward!

3.) System

-Does this company have a proven, support-system for you to plug into when you join? This is the CRUCIAL, third component many Network Marketing companies do not have. A system MUST help the new distributor understand the What, Why and How of building the business in the correct manner, as well as help the seasoned veterans streamline this to their teams. Duplication is a HUGE factor in helping the concept of exponential growth occur.

I could go into further detail, but this is just the outline that I personally believe should be gone thru upon joining a Network Marketing opportunity. I believe this industry will change millions of lives over the next 5,10,20-50 years and there is NO stopping it!

Here is a question that I get asked the most....and that is:

"How are you building such a huge team for your business on Facebook?

Now to me, the answer is simple really, but to the new marketer, or someone who is unfamiliar with Facebook, here is some clarification. You see, 95% of the people on Facebook who are currently with an opportunity and are trying to build a business online, DO NOT have the right approach of how to build  a business on Facebook. What you typically see, literally ALL over the place, is a bunch of people posting their website link and saying how great their business is...like BIG banner ads all over the place.

And you know what?

....quite frankly, MOST people, meaning their friends, really just don't care and will either end up blocking that person or un-friending them all together because all they are is a big billboard with another ad. Nobody wants to see ads all day long in their newsfeed.

So, How Do I Build my Business on Facebook Brian?

 

This seems to be the question that hardly anyone asks believe it or not! They usually just dive right in and haven't a clue!

It's simple really....for example:  How would you go and approach a complete stranger at your local supermarket? How would you approach someone you just met at a sporting event?

Your wheels starting to turn a little bit now?  Good, I hope so.

Now, what does this all mean? When meeting someone for the first time IN PERSON, you would not say "Hey John, here is the link to my website. In my opportunity we have the best comp plan, product, team and we're all gonna be rich!"

Just like in real life, on Facebook you MUST get to know the person. Ask them lots of questions so that you can get to know them better! Ask about their family, job, what they like to do for fun and as that relationship develops over time, the right time will come for you to share what it is you have to offer.

You see, if you are like me, you typically like to buy things from people you TRUST, right? Same thing applies here. Get to know people online. Are all going to end up in your business? Nope!

So go into these new relationships without the intent of pitching them some biz opp. Go into it with the intention of getting to know that person better. Your BUSINESS will grow because of it, trust me!

There are many Facebook groups out there these days where people are trying to connect with other like-minded folks. Most networkers out there are lost...don't know where to start marketing their business...or know how for that matter.  Unfortunately, many of these groups, roughly 90%, are ALL full of spam and marketers pitching their opportunity links to each other. And more importantly, how do you do it?

The concept of how to duplicate is absolutely crucial if you are trying to build a long-term, sustainable business. Many in this industry fail to value the importance of duplication.

 

The Biggest Asset in Your Business - How to Duplicate

Duplication is teaching others in your business how to duplicate. This creates your team.  If you are the only one working, sponsoring, and training then you have failed to create duplication.  When you master creating duplication, however,  that is when your team grows and your teammates are able to teach duplication down the line.  The term leverage comes to mind when thinking of how to duplicate. It is leveraging the efforts of many to create something extraordinary!

 

The 3 Keys on How to Duplicate in Your Business

 Here are a couple of bullet points to help you visualize how to duplicate in your organization:


- K.I.S.S. - Keep it Super Simple
       
--If you are complicating things, or "word vomiting" all over prospect, you are indirectly showing them "this is what YOU will have to do to be successful!" Doing this is NOT how to duplicate. You are pretty much guaranteeing someone telling you NO, unless they feel sorry for you. If you keep it simple, duplication is easier to achieve!


- Follow a SYSTEM!
      
--Different companies have different systems to follow, and if they don't, the experienced leaders of that company will typically develop one. Follow what has been proven and works! DO NOT try and "re-invent the wheel" and do it your own way. 10 out of 10 times it will fail and that will just leave you frustrated and make you want to quit.


- Establish a Community!
       
--This is HUGE when learning how to duplicate!!!!! A few good examples may be to create a Facebook group for your team, a Google + community, a Skype room, etc. You don't have to do all of these things but its nice to have options and these are a couple of great places to start! Why is community SO important?? People love community, they love interaction, they love good 'ol friendly competition amongst each other.  They also love being able to ask questions and share tips, ideas etc! This will build strong relationships amongst your team and will drive the behavior of wanting to build something together, bigger, and faster!
